Tonight (Wednesday, November 20th) Dr. Sean Rockett, an orthopedic surgeon and CrossFitter, will be giving a lecture on injury prevention. His lecture is designed to help keep athletes healthy and for them to continue to WOD safely. He will discuss the anatomy of the body, mechanisms of injury, and signs and symptoms of injuries. Topics will include ways to recognize injuries, what to do if you have them, and how to treat them and PREVENT them. This lecture is very valuable and we encourage you all, from novice to seasoned athletes, to attend. They are requesting  a $20.00 cash donation to the American Red Cross at the door. The lecture will start at 7pm. To sign up please click here.

The Paleo Challenge is over and Thanksgiving is approaching. All that hard work down the drain…but wait is there a solution?? Try these paleo friendly recipes that are bound to fool your relatives. If they can tell the difference, and had callouses when you shook their hand and noticed bruises on their chest or shins then they’re a Crossfitter!

Any chance the lecture will be videotaped tonight? I’d love to see it but making anything at night is nearly impossible… I’d even double the donation requested.

Hey everyone, Andrew Stafford and I are signed up for the team competition this Saturday at Cross Fit The Taj (it is near South Station). This is a one day three person competition and we need one more guy to join the team. It will be like a partner wod, only longer! The wods are posted on The Taj FB page. It should be a lot of fun. I know everyone usually takes a few days off around Thanksgiving so this is a good opportunity to get a few extra wods in, push yourself a little harder than you might in class and surely have a few laughs. If you don’t know me or Stafford, we are super laid back so we won’t yell if you get no-repped or cry if we come in last. I PROMISE it will be fun and I’ll buy you a beer afterwards….sounds enticing, right?!?

WOD: 16:42 L2 — I do not recommend eating an extra large chicken cutlet sub w/ hots before doing toes to bar. Just sayin.
