2015 CrossFit Open Kicks Off today!
If you haven’t signed up yet, what are you waiting for?

The CrossFit Open is for EVERYONE, regardless of ability level. 2015 will be the first year there’s also a scaled division in the Open, so there’s no reason not to participate. Registration is just $20 for five weeks of fun. Don’t miss out on one of the most exciting times of the year for CrossFitters!

We’ll perform the workouts in class each Friday, and you’ll be judged by one of your classmates whether you signed up or not.  

You can then submit your score online and see how you stack up against athletes from all over the world. If you crush a particular workout, you could also contribute a score to help the CrossFit Southie team qualify for Regionals!

Hold yourself accountable, punch the ticket and see how you stack up.

WORKOUT 15.1

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 9 minutes of:
15 toes-to-bars
10 deadlifts (115 / 75 lb.)
5 snatches (115 / 75 lb.)

L2/scaled – 15 hanging knee raises (85/55)
L1 – 10 hanging knee raises (65/35)
Master – (85/55)

WORKOUT 15.1a – to begin immediately following 15.1

1-rep-max clean and jerk
6-minute time cap

Coach Jay Is leaving us (oh no, say it ain’t so!!!).  Today is his last day at the box.  He has a great coaching opportunity in NYC and although we are very sad to see him go, we wish him the very best!

There is a Going Away Bash at Society on High toight starting at 5pm.  Be there!  If you can’t make it make sure to give him a big butt slap if you see him around the box today.
