Newest Nutrition Option at CrossFit Southie: Fuel for Fire!
We’re psyched to announce that we have just started carrying Fuel for Fire! Their product is called a “Fuel Pack,” which is real food (bananas, apples, and/or sweet potatoes) and 10 grams of whey protein in a squeezable pouch. It’s unsweetened, gluten-free, and contains nothing artificial. Fuel Packs are great for pre or post-workout, a protein-rich snack, or on competition days between events. No refrigeration required, so you can just throw one in your bag for whenever you may need it! These will be available at the front desk (refrigerated if you’d like) for $3.50 a pack. Just a friendly reminder that our Fuel Bar items are ca$h only, so please come prepared. We cannot add these items to your account. To learn more about Fuel for Fire, click here, or ask one of your coaches!

CrossFit Southie Apparel Update
Spring is on the rise and we’ve restocked our apparel inventory with plenty of tank tops and shirts in all the sizes. Now is your opportunity to pick up some fresh new swag to show off those crossfit bods. Don’t be surprised if the authorities ask if you have a license for those guns! We are also creating sweet new t-shirts for Regionals this year and we’re asking for your creative slogans to be placed on the back. Please post to comments your favorite motivational quotes or taglines, and yours could be used!

Dying to start back up at CFS tomorrow. I have missed this place, the coaches, and my workout friends. Super scaled Christine might kill me, but I CANT WAITTTTT!!!!!

  • Rob Hassell

Fuel for fire sweet apple flavor is delicious and perfect for the ride into the 530am class.

I will start by saying that I would rather do 14.5 again then do Christine. That said, I trudged in anyway, and did it. 15:33 RX (165#)

  • Rob Hassell

    10:22 Rx vs 11:18 in November ’13

  • Mike Quigley

10:27RX. I was 10:55 last time. 10:44 is my best ever, so I’m happy with this morning. I’m 10# heavier than my previous best – and I’m just going to go ahead and assume all 10 of those pounds are muscle. The DL get heavy at the end.

  • John Ziegler

    “Strength Through Unity – CFS”

  • amy

    I like this a lot!

  • amy

Let’s get some more up here guys. Winning slogan will get some free swag. Last year we used Ranjith’s “Lay your heart out”

  • Crowley

9:07rx which I think is a 12 second PR, I think I could have gone sub 9 had I not gotten tripped up on the first round of box jumps, I’ll get it next time!

  • Ben Goodkind

    “Say Yes to the Dress”

  • Petra

12:33 RX. That’s over a minute slower than my PR, I guess it’s time to get back in shape.

  • Allan Apjohn

    “Addicted to Results”
    “Rise and Grind”
“The hay is never in the barn”

  • Martine

ooooo I love “rise and grind”!!

  • Matt

    “Nothin’ But Freaks”
That is a winning slogan if you ask me

  • Joel

Christine – 14:09 Rx dead lifts (#135) and 20 inch box

  • Kelly

12:15Rx. Somehow took 40 seconds off my time from last September! I had to add 5 extra beer pounds to the bar, though. Oops.

“Dot Ave Barbell Club” (in old-timey writing. On a singlet).
“Be Faster. Be Stronger. Be Hungrier.” (or is it more hungry??? I guess that would kind of ruin it, huh?)

  • Leann Christina

chirstine – 11:45 rx , PR by 30sec, thank you to coach Haley!
    slogan:
    #relentless
    or
    CFS- can’t stop, won’t stop

CFS – Where beer (or beer bellies, ha ha) and barbells collide.

  • Jason

    Christine 11:30 @170#

  • Chelsea

Wow.. first Christine. 19:01 Rx. A lot harder/worse than I thought it was going to be!

  • Jacqueline Doyle

I love that we are going to be doing benchmarks more often. Love making progress!
    9/13/13 – 15:23 Rx
    11/1/13 – 14:26 Rx
    4/2/14 – 13.38 Rx

Definitely could’ve pushed harder tonight, but my goal was sub 14 and I got there. Had to use 5 lbs more tonight than my previous two times but my deadlifts were by far the strongest part of this workout. They felt pretty phenomenal. I can definitely go faster on the box jumps so I’m looking forward to retesting this! Hoping for sub 13
